Gemer P 2 Tablet ER is a medicine that contains the active substances Glimepiride, Metformin and Pioglitazone. Glimepiride acts by increasing the amount of insulin released by the pancreas. Metformin acts by decreasing liver glucose production and intestinal glucose uptake. Pioglitazone works by reducing the amount of glucose released by the liver and also by improving the sensitivity of tissues. It helps control the high blood sugar levels seen in diabetes. It reduces the chances of serious complications of diabetes and also helps prevent kidney damage, blindness, nerve problems and sexual function problems. Gemer P 2 Tablet ER is used as an antidiabetes medicine. It works by removing excess sugar from your body through urine.
